PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT EGR BYPASS VALVE SWITCHING VALVE


    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 23°C (73°F) 28.3 to 31.1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the EGR bypass valve switching valve assembly.

    2. Check EGR bypass valve switching valve assembly operation.

        *b Port (A)
        *c Port (B)

        Check that air does not flow from the port (A) to the port (B).

    3. A01M1PBC01
      *a Air
      *b Port (A)
      *c Port (B)

      Apply battery voltage to the terminals as shown in the illustration.

    4. Check that air flows from the port (A) to the port (B).

      If the result is not as specified, replace the EGR bypass valve switching valve assembly.
