Note


  • Perform the mass air flow meter sub-assembly inspection according to the procedures below.

  • Only replace the mass air flow meter sub-assembly when the mass air flow value in the Data List (with the engine stopped) is not within the normal operating range.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK MASS AIR FLOW METER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Check the mass air flow value.


      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      3. Turn the GTS on.

      4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / MAF.


        Powertrain > Engine > Data List
        Tester Display
        MAF
      5. A00YV1D

        Blow air into the mass air flow meter sub-assembly, and check that the mass air flow value fluctuates.

        If the result is not as specified, check the mass air flow meter sub-assembly, or wiring and ECM.
