WHEEL OPENING MOULDING INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL QUARTER OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    Tech Tips

    When installing the quarter outside moulding, heat the vehicle body and quarter outside moulding using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Quarter Outside Moulding 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the vehicle body or quarter outside moulding excessively.


    1. Clean the vhecle body surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body surface.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      *1 Protective Tape
      *2 Double-sided Tape

      Install a new quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH.


      1. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      2. Attach the 9 clips to install the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH.

        Tech Tips

        Press the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH firmly to install it.

      3. Install the 2 clips.

  2. INSTALL REAR WHELL HOUSE FRONT PLATE LH


    1. Install the screw.

    2. Attach the clip to install the rear wheel house front plate LH.

  3. INSTALL FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    Tech Tips

    When installing the front fender moulding, heat the vehicle body and front fender moulding using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Front Fender Moulding 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

      Install the front fender moulding sub-assembly LH.


      1. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the front fender moulding sub-assembly LH.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      2. Attach the 8 clips to install the front fender moulding sub-assembly LH.

        Tech Tips

        Press the front fender moulding sub-assembly LH firmly to install it.

      3. Install the 2 clips labeled A and clip labeled B.

  4. INSTALL FRONT FENDER MUDGUARD LH (w/ Mudguard)


    1. Install the front fender mudguard LH with the 3 screws.

    2. Install the clip.
