  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL NO. 2 ROOF RACK END COVER

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for all No. 2 roof rack end covers.


    1. Attach the claw and guide to install the No. 2 roof rack end cover.

  2. INSTALL REAR ROOF RACK LEG CUSHION LH


    1. Install new No. 2 roof carrier seals.

    2. Attach the 4 clips to install the rear roof rack leg cushion LH.

  3. INSTALL FRONT ROOF RACK LEG CUSHION LH


    1. Install new No. 2 roof carrier seals.

    2. Attach the 4 clips to install the front roof rack leg cushion LH.

  4. INSTALL ROOF RACK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Clean the threads of the bolts with non-residue solvent (when reusing the bolts).

    2. Apply adhesive to the threads of the bolts (when resusing the bolts).

      Adhesive
      Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond1324 or equivalent

    3. Install the roof rack assembly LH with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      23 N*m  { 235 kgf*cm, 17 ft.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL REAR ROOF RACK LOWER COVER LH


    1. Attach the 6 claws to install the rear roof rack lower cover LH.

  6. INSTALL REAR ROOF RACK LEG COVER LH


    1. Attach the 7 claws and 2 guides to install the rear roof rack leg cover LH.

  7. INSTALL FRONT ROOF RACK LOWER COVER LH


    1. Attach the 6 claws to install the front roof rack lower cover LH.

  8. INSTALL FRONT ROOF RACK LEG COVER LH


    1. Attach the 7 claws and 2 guides to install the front roof rack leg cover LH.
