NAME PLATE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE BACK DOOR NAME PLATE

    Tech Tips

    When removing the back door name plate, heat the vehicle body and back door name plate using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Back Door Name Plate 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the vehicle body or back door name plate excessively.


    1. A01QQF9C01
      *1 Protective Tape
      *2 Wooden Block

      Put protective tape around the back door name plate.

    2. Insert piano wire between the vehicle body and back door name plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the back door name plate to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the back door name plate.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 BACK DOOR EMBLEM

    Tech Tips

    When removing the No. 1 back door emblem, heat the vehicle body and No. 1 back door emblem using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    No. 1 Back Door Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the vehicle body or No. 1 back door emblem excessively.

      *2 Wooden Block

      Insert piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 1 back door emblem.

    2. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

    3. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 1 back door emblem to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    4. Remove the No. 1 back door emblem.

  3. REMOVE NO. 4 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE

    Tech Tips

    When removing the No. 4 back door emblem, heat the vehicle body and No. 4 back door emblem using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    No. 4 Back Door Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the vehicle body or No. 4 back door emblem excessively.

      1. Insert piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 4 back door emblem.

      2. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

      3. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 4 back door emblem to the vehicle body.

        Note

        Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

      4. Remove the No. 4 back door emblem.

      *1 Protective Tape
      *2 Wooden Block

      for Type B:


      1. Insert piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 4 back door emblem.

      2. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

      3. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 4 back door emblem to the vehicle body.

        Note

        Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

      4. Remove the No. 4 back door emblem.
