This mode is to check the automatic high beam system operation with the vehicle stationary, based on the high beam illumination request signal from the forward recognition camera. Check that none of the conditions below are met before proceeding with the following procedure.
The system is in the start-up process, immediately after the ignition switch is turned to ON. (Standby mode is not determined.)
The camera is temporarily unavailable due to high temperature, etc. (The forward recognition camera cannot detect properly.)
The forward recognition camera is malfunctioning.
The camera cannot monitor the light level properly due to camera axis misalignment.
AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAM SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK
Place the vehicle in an area dark enough for the automatic high beam system to operate.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the headlight dimmer switch to the AUTO position to turn on the headlights.
Turn the ignition switch off.
Within 5 seconds of turning the ignition switch to ON, perform the following operation with the automatic high beam system in standby mode:
Move the headlight dimmer switch to the high position and then change the position from high to low 9 times.

The headlight dimmer switch should be in the high position when this step is complete.
Check that the high beam headlights come on.

Test mode will be canceled when any of the following operations are performed:
The ignition switch is turned off.
The headlight dimmer switch is not in the AUTO position.
The headlight dimmer switch is not in the high position.
