DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of the parking brake switch.

When replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), make sure to replace it with a new one.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (PARKING BRAKE SWITCH)


    1. Using the GTS, read the Data List.

  2. INSPECT PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the parking brake switch assembly.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the G37 parking brake switch assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the 3D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G37-1 - 3D-34 Always Below 1 Ω
      G37-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

      Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
