DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives the following signals:

When replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), make sure to replace it with a new one.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH)


    1. Using the GTS, read the Data List.

      ON: Headlight dimmer switch in AUTO position

      OFF: Headlight dimmer switch not in AUTO position

      ON: Headlight dimmer switch in head position

      OFF: Headlight dimmer switch not in head position

      OFF: Headlight dimmer switch in neither tail nor head position

  2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH, DIMMER SWITCH FOG LIGHT SWITCH)


    1. Remove the headlight dimmer switch assembly.

    2. Inspect the headlight dimmer switch assembly.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)


    1. for LHD:


      1. Disconnect the G13 headlight dimmer switch assembly connector.

    2. for RHD:


      1. Disconnect the G13*1 or G63*2 headlight dimmer switch assembly connector.

        *1: for LH Side

        *2: for RH Side

    3. Disconnect the G78 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
