PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (SLIDING ROOF SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Remove the map light assembly (sliding roof switch assembly).

      *b Open Switch
      *c Close Switch
      *d Up Switch
      *e Down Switch

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      20 (GND) - 16 (UP) UP switch is pressed Below 1 Ω
      UP switch is not pressed 10 kΩ or higher
      20 (GND) - 17 (DOWN) DOWN switch is pressed Below 1 Ω
      DOWN switch is not pressed 10 kΩ or higher
      20 (GND) - 7 (OPN) OPEN switch is pressed Below 1 Ω
      OPEN switch is not pressed 10 kΩ or higher
      20 (GND) - 8 (CLS) CLOSE switch is pressed Below 1 Ω
      CLOSE switch is not pressed 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the map light assembly (sliding roof switch assembly).

    3. Install the map light assembly (sliding roof switch assembly).
