SLIDING ROOF HOUSING DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      *1	Guide
      *2	Pin

      Detach the claw.

   2. Detach the guide and pin, and remove the map light bracket.

   3. 

      Remove the 2 bolts and sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly.

2. REMOVE SUNSHADE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the screw and the sliding roof piece sub-assembly LH.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side.

   2. Slide and remove the sunshade trim sub-assembly.

3. REMOVE REAR ROOF DRIP CHANNEL

   
   

   1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws. Then slide the rear roof drip channel rearward to remove it.

      *1	Protective Tape	-	-

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

   Note

   Do not disassemble the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly except when replacing it.

   
   

   1. 

      Hold down the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly.

   2. 

      *1	Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, slide the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to remove it.

      Tech Tips

      
      

      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      • Use the same procedure for the other sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly.

5. REMOVE ROOF WIND DEFLECTOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      *1	Spring
      *2	Guide

      Pull the spring in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration to detach the 2 springs.

   2. Pull the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration to detach the 2 guides and remove it.
