POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM(w/ Jam Protection Function) Rear Power Window LH does not Operate with Rear Power Window Switch LH

DESCRIPTION

When the ignition switch is ON, the rear power window regulator motor assembly LH is operated by the rear power window regulator switch assembly LH.

  1. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Remove the rear power window regulator switch assembly LH.

      Disconnect the rear power window regulator switch assembly LH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      L1-3 (B) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      Ignition switch off Below 1 V

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH - REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH)


    1. Disconnect the L3 rear power window regulator motor assembly LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the L1 rear power window regulator switch assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L3-1 (U) - L1-4 (U) Always Below 1 Ω
      L3-2 (D) - L1-1 (D) Always Below 1 Ω
      L3-1 (U) or L1-4 (U) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L3-2 (D) or L1-1 (D) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the L1 rear power window regulator switch assembly LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the J5*1 or I5*2 power window regulator master switch assembly connector.


      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L1-5 (SU) - J5-12 (U) Always Below 1 Ω
      L1-2 (SD) - J5-13 (D) Always Below 1 Ω
      L1-5 (SU) or J5-12 (U) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L1-2 (SD) or J5-13 (D) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L1-5 (SU) - I5-18 (U) Always Below 1 Ω
