FRONT WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.


  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM COVER

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the windshield wiper arm cover.

      Tech Tips


      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      • Use the same procedure for both windshield wiper arm covers.

  2. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the nut and the front wiper arm and blade assembly LH.

  3. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH

      Remove the nut and the front wiper arm and blade assembly RH.

  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the double-sided tape.

    2. Detach the 2 guides, and remove the front fender to cowl side seal LH.

  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  6. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 2 clips.

    2. Detach the 5 claws and 2 guides as shown in the illustration.

    3. Detach the 9 guides and pull out the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  7. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

    Note

    Be careful not to damage the windshield when removing the windshield wiper motor and link assembly.

      *1 Motor Grommet

      Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the connector.

    2. Detach the motor grommet and remove the windshield wiper motor and link assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Disconnect the connector and detach the clamp.

  8. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, separate the No. 1 rod from the wiper motor pivot as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. A00YSP7

      Remove the 3 bolts.

    3. A00YXL1N01

      Rotate the windshield wiper motor assembly in the direction of the arrows as shown in the illustration and remove the windshield wiper motor assembly from the link.
