REAR WIPER MOTOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the rear wiper motor assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    2. Connect the connector.

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 REAR WIPER LINK PIVOT WASHER


    1. A01QQEYC01
      *1 MP Grease

      Apply MP grease to the entire surface of the No. 1 rear wiper link pivot washer lip.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure that the hole does not get clogged with grease and the grooves in the No. 1 rear wiper link pivot washer are filled with grease.

    2. A01QP8TC01
      *1 Position Mark
      *a Upward

      Install the No. 1 rear wiper link pivot washer.

      Tech Tips

      Install the No. 1 rear wiper link pivot washer with its position mark facing up.

  3. INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY


    1. Stop the rear wiper motor assembly at the automatic stop position.

      *1 Wiper Arm Serration
      *2 Wiper Pivot Serration

      When reusing the rear wiper arm and blade assembly:


      1. Clean the wiper arm serrations to remove any burrs, dirt, etc.

        Note

        Do not grind down the wiper arm serrations.

    3. When reusing the windshield wiper link assembly:


      1. Clean the wiper pivot serrations with a wire brush.

      *1 Ceramic Line

      Install the rear wiper arm and blade assembly with the nut to the position shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Tech Tips


      • Hold the wiper arm by hand while tightening the nut.

      • Install the rear wiper arm and blade assembly so that the rear wiper blade is aligned with the defogger line.

      Standard:
      Area Standard Condition
      a 15 mm (0.5906 in.)

  4. INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM COVER


    1. A01QRFON01

      Attach the 2 claws (B) to the rear wiper arm and blade assembly.

    2. Attach the 2 claws (A) to install the rear wiper arm cover as shown in the illustration.
