The front seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly is used for both the driver side seat and front passenger side seat.
Front seat belt warning light operation for driver side seat belt:
The front seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly blinks or turns off in accordance with the driver side seat belt state or vehicle speed.
Front seat belt warning light operation for front passenger side seat belt:
The front seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly blinks or turns off in accordance with whether the front passenger seat is occupied, the front passenger side seat belt state or vehicle speed.
Rear seat belt warning light operation for rear seat belt:
When a rear door is opened and closed (the rear door courtesy light switch turns on and off) with the ignition switch ON, or when a rear door is opened and closed (the rear door courtesy light switch turns on and off) and then the ignition switch is turned to ON, the rear seat belt warning light in the telltale light assembly turns on to inform the driver of the condition of the rear seat belts.
Seat belt warning buzzer
The seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly sounds at an interval of 1.2 second for 30 seconds, and then the buzzer sounds at an interval of 0.4 second for 90 seconds when the vehicle is driven at approximately 20 km/h (12.5 mph) or more and any of the following conditions are met: 1) the driver side seat belt is unfastened, 2) the front passenger side seat belt is unfastened with the front passenger seat occupied, or 3) a rear door has been opened and closed and a rear seat belt is unfastened.
