SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

The front seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly is used for both the driver side seat and front passenger side seat.
1. Front seat belt warning light operation for driver side seat belt:
  
  The front seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly blinks or turns off in accordance with the driver side seat belt state or vehicle speed.
2. Front seat belt warning light operation for front passenger side seat belt:
  
  The front seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly blinks or turns off in accordance with whether the front passenger seat is occupied, the front passenger side seat belt state or vehicle speed.
3. Seat belt warning buzzer:
  
  After turning the ignition switch to ON, if the driver side seat belt is not fastened within 1.8 seconds, check that the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly sounds at 1.2 seconds intervals for 6 seconds.
  
  When 30 seconds have passed after the buzzer sounds, the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly sounds at an interval of 1.2 seconds for 9.6 seconds. After that, the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly sounds at an interval of 0.4 seconds for 20 seconds.
  
  When the vehicle is driven at 20 km/h (12 mph) or more with the front passenger seat occupied and the driver side or front passenger side seat belt not fastened, the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly sounds once.

FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT

The following functions are available.
Components	Function
Front seat inner belt assembly LH	Informs airbag sensor assembly of driver side seat belt condition (fastened or unfastened).
Front seat inner belt assembly RH	Informs occupant detection ECU of front passenger side seat belt condition (fastened or unfastened).
Occupant detection ECU	Sends the front passenger side seat belt buckle switch signal and occupant detection signal to the airbag sensor assembly.
Occupant classification sensor LH/RH	Informs the occupant detection ECU of the front passenger seat condition (occupied or unoccupied).
Airbag sensor assembly	Sends the driver side seat belt buckle switch signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) via CAN communication. Sends the front passenger side seat belt buckle switch signal to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.
Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)	Sends the driver side seat belt buckle switch signal to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication. Sends the parking brake switch signal to the combination meter assembly.
Brake actuator assembly (Skid control ECU)	Sends the vehicle speed signal to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.
ECM	Sends the shift position signal to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.
Front seat belt warning light	for Driver Side: If driver side seat belt is unfastened and ignition switch is ON, combination meter assembly flashes front seat belt warning light in combination meter assembly as reminder for Front Passenger Side: When front passenger seat is occupied and ignition switch is ON, if front passenger side seat belt is unfastened, combination meter assembly flashes front seat belt warning light of combination meter assembly as reminder Tech Tips The front seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly is used for both the driver side seat and front passenger side seat.
Seat belt warning buzzer	If vehicle is driven at approximately 20 km/h (12.5 mph) or more with any of following conditions met, combination meter assembly sounds buzzer as reminder: 1) driver side seat belt is unfastened or 2) front passenger side seat belt is unfastened with front passenger seat occupied.
