FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER(for Power Seat) INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (for LHD)

   

   *1	Connector A
   *2	Connector B
   *3	Thermostat
   *a	Component without harness connected (Front Seat Cushion Heater Assembly LH)

   
   

   1. Check the front seat cushion heater assembly LH.

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A-2 - B-3 Seat cushion heater temperature 20°C (68°F) 3.25 to 3.31 Ω A-3 - B-2 1.78 to 1.82 Ω A-1 - B-1 Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat cushion heater assembly LH.

      2. Check the thermostat resistance.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A-2 - B-3 Thermostat temperature 42°C (108°F) 10 kΩ or higher A-3 - B-2 10 kΩ or higher

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat cushion heater assembly LH.

2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY RH (for RHD)

   

   *1	Connector A
   *2	Connector B
   *3	Thermostat
   *a	Component without harness connected (Front Seat Cushion Heater Assembly RH)

   
   

   1. Check the front seat cushion heater assembly RH.

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A-2 - B-3 Seat cushion heater temperature 20°C (68°F) 3.25 to 3.31 Ω A-3 - B-2 1.78 to 1.82 Ω A-1 - B-1 Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat cushion heater assembly RH.

      2. Check the thermostat resistance.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A-2 - B-3 Thermostat temperature 42°C (108°F) 10 kΩ or higher A-3 - B-2 10 kΩ or higher

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat cushion heater assembly RH.
