POWER BACK DOOR SYSTEM Power Back Door Warning System does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

When the power back door warning system does not operate, one of the following may be malfunctioning: 1) wireless door lock control system, 2) wireless door lock buzzer circuit or 3) multiplex network door ECU.

Note


  • The power back door warning function can be customized. Make sure the function is ON.

  • When replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), make sure to replace it with a new one.

  • If the replacement, removal and installation of the multiplex network door ECU or disconnection of the connectors of the multiplex network door ECU has been performed, initialize the power back door system.

  1. CHECK OPERATION


    1. Check power back door system operation.

  2. CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM (HAZARD ANSWER-BACK FUNCTION)


    1. Check wireless door lock operation.

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER - MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the U14 wireless door lock buzzer connector.

    2. Disconnect the U29 multiplex network door ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U14-1 (BZR+) - U29-16 (BZR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      U14-2 (BZR-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      U14-1 (BZR+) or U29-16 (BZR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
