DESCRIPTION

The airbag sensor assembly consists of a deceleration sensor, safing sensor, drive circuit, diagnosis circuit, ignition control, etc.

If the airbag sensor assembly receives signals from the deceleration sensor, it determines whether or not the SRS should be activated.

DTC B1000/31 is stored when a malfunction is detected in the airbag sensor assembly.

  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Check for DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes
      Result
      Proceed to
      DTC B1000/31 is output
      DTC B1000/31 and other DTCs are output

      Note

      If only DTC B1000/31 is output, do not clear the DTCs. Replace the airbag sensor assembly.

      Tech Tips

      If any DTCs other than DTC B1000/31 are also output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.
