BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note


  • When installing a new back door lock assembly, if there is any tape stuck to it, remove the tape.

  • When installing a new back door lock assembly, if there are any strings attached to it, cut the strings off.

  • Do not allow grease or dust to adhere to the door lock wiring harness seal surface of the connector.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH)


    1. w/ Power Back Door:


      1. A01PJIG

        Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the back door lock assembly (back door courtesy switch).

      2. Install the back door lock assembly (back door courtesy switch) with the 4 bolts.

        Torque:
        7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }

      3. Connect the connectors.

    2. w/o Power Back Door:


      1. A01PJ44

        Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the back door lock assembly (back door courtesy switch).

      2. Install the back door lock assembly (back door courtesy switch) with the 3 bolts.

        Torque:
        7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }

      3. Connect the connector.
