LIGHTING SYSTEM IG Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects whether the ignition switch is ON or off, and sends this information to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  • When replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), make sure to replace it with a new one.

  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (IG SW)


    1. Using the GTS, read the Data List.

      Disconnect the instrument panel junction block assembly connectors.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      3A-1 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      3C-43 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the 3C and 3D instrument panel junction block assembly connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  5. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY (IG1 NO.1 RELAY)

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
