  1. ILLUMINATION CONTROL SYSTEM (Illuminated Entry System)

    Tech Tips

    When inspecting the following functions, make sure that the map light switch and No. 1 room light switch are DOOR position.


    1. The illuminated entry system has the following control functions:

      Control Outline Lighting
      Actuation Area-linked*1 When a registered key is brought within any vehicle exterior detection area around the doors, the items listed to the right turn on.

      • Map light assembly

      • No. 1 room light assembly

      • Engine switch illumination
      Door Lock/Unlock-linked When any door is unlocked, the items listed to the right turn on.

      • Map light assembly

      • No. 1 room light assembly

      • Engine switch illumination*1

      • Ignition key cylinder light*2
      When all doors are locked, the items listed to the right turn off.

      • Map light assembly

      • No. 1 room light assembly

      • Engine switch illumination*1

      • Ignition key cylinder light*2
      Door Open/Close-linked When any door is opened, the items listed to the right turn on.

      • Map light assembly

      • No. 1 room light assembly

      • Engine switch illumination*1

      • Ignition key cylinder light*2
      When all doors are closed, the items listed to the right turn off.

      • Map light assembly

      • No. 1 room light assembly

      		 When the ignition switch is turned from ACC or ON to off, the items listed to the right turn on.

      • Map light assembly

  2. BATTERY SAVING CONTROL SYSTEM


    1. The battery saving control system has the following control functions:

      Control Outline Lighting
      Basic function

      • When the doors remain in the same condition for 20 minutes and the key is outside the vehicle exterior detection area, the illumination of the items listed to the right turns off.*1


      • When the doors remain in the same condition for 20 minutes and the key is not in the ignition key cylinder, the illumination of the items listed to the right turns off.*2

      • Engine switch illumination*1

      • Ignition key cylinder light*2
      Interior light auto cut function The illumination of the items listed on the right will turn off 20 minutes after the ignition switch is turned off, regardless of whether the doors are open or closed and regardless of the map light switch position.
