REAR DOOR LOCK INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT REAR DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Double Locking System)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear Door with Motor Lock Assembly LH)
      *b	Unlock
      *c	Lock

      Check the operation of the door lock motor.

      
      

      1. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the rear door lock motor.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (L) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (UL) Locks Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (UL) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (L) Unlocks

         If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door with motor lock assembly LH.

   2. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear Door with Motor Lock Assembly LH)
      *b	Unlock
      *c	Lock

      Check the operation of the unlock detection switch (w/ Smart Entry and Start System or Theft Deterrent System).

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 6 (LSSR) - 9 (E) Locked 10 kΩ or higher 6 (LSSR) - 9 (E) Unlocked Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door with motor lock assembly LH.

2. INSPECT REAR DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Double Locking System)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear Door with Motor Lock Assembly LH)
      *b	Unlock
      *c	Lock

      Check the operation of the door lock motor and double lock motor.

      
      

      1. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the rear door lock motor and double lock motor.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 (L) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (UL) Locks Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (UL) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (L) Unlocks Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (DL) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (UNDL) Sets Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (UNDL) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (DL) Unsets

         Tech Tips

         
         

         • Move the door lock motor to the lock position and set the double locking system. Check that the doors cannot be unlocked by operating the control cable.

         • Move the door lock motor to the lock position and unset the double locking system. Check that the doors can be unlocked by operating the control cable.

         If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door with motor lock assembly LH.

   2. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear Door with Motor Lock Assembly LH)
      *b	Unlock
      *c	Lock

      Check the operation of the unlock detection switch and double lock position switch.

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 5 (LSSR) - 6 (E) Locked 10 kΩ or higher 5 (LSSR) - 6 (E) Unlocked Below 1 Ω 9 (DLSR) - 10 (E) Unset 10 kΩ or higher 9 (DLSR) - 10 (E) Set Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door with motor lock assembly LH.

3. INSPECT REAR DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Double Locking System)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear Door with Motor Lock Assembly RH)
      *b	Unlock
      *c	Lock

      Check the operation of the door lock motor.

      
      

      1. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the rear door lock motor.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (L) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (UL) Locks Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (UL) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (L) Unlocks

         If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door with motor lock assembly RH.

   2. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear Door with Motor Lock Assembly RH)
      *b	Unlock
      *c	Lock

      Check the operation of the unlock detection switch (w/ Smart Entry and Start System or Theft Deterrent System).

4. INSPECT REAR DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Double Locking System)

      *c	Lock

      Check the operation of the door lock motor and double lock motor.

      
      

      1. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the rear door lock motor and double lock motor.

         OK
