FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Power Seat) INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY LH (for LHD)

   
   

   1. Check the operation of the slide motor LH.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without wire harness connected (Front Seat Cushion Spring Assembly LH(Slide Motor LH))

         Apply battery voltage to the slide motor LH connector, and check that the slide motor LH operates smoothly as follows.

         OK
         Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Forward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Backward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat cushion spring assembly LH.

   2. Check the operation of the front vertical motor LH.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without wire harness connected (Front Seat Cushion Spring Assembly LH(Front Vertical Motor LH))

         Apply battery voltage to the front vertical motor LH connector, and check that the front vertical motor LH operates smoothly as follows.

         OK
         Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Upward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Downward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat cushion spring assembly LH.

   3. Check the operation of the lifter motor LH.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without wire harness connected (Front Seat Cushion Spring Assembly LH(Lifter Motor LH))

         Apply battery voltage to the lifter motor LH connector, and check that the lifter motor LH operates smoothly as follows.

         OK
         Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Upward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Downward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat cushion spring assembly LH.

2. INSPECT FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY LH (for LHD)

   
   

   1. Check the operation of the lumbar support motor LH.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without wire harness connected (Front Seatback Spring Assembly LH(Lumbar Support Motor LH))

         Apply battery voltage to the lumbar support motor LH connector, and check that the lumbar support motor LH operates smoothly as follows.

         OK
         Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Forward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Backward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seatback spring assembly LH.

   2. Check the operation of the reclining motor LH.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without wire harness connected (Front Seatback Spring Assembly LH(Reclining Motor LH))

         Apply battery voltage to the reclining motor LH connector, and check that the reclining motor LH operates smoothly as follows.

         OK
         Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Forward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Backward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seatback spring assembly LH.

3. INSPECT FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY RH (for RHD)

   
   

   1. Check the operation of the slide motor RH.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without wire harness connected (Front Seat Cushion Spring Assembly RH(Slide Motor RH))

         Apply battery voltage to the slide motor RH connector, and check that the slide motor RH operates smoothly as follows.

         OK
         Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Forward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Backward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat cushion spring assembly RH.

   2. Check the operation of the front vertical motor RH.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without wire harness connected (Front Seat Cushion Spring Assembly RH(Front Vertical Motor RH))

         Apply battery voltage to the front vertical motor RH connector, and check that the front vertical motor RH operates smoothly as follows.

         OK
         Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Upward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Downward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat cushion spring assembly RH.

   3. Check the operation of the lifter motor RH.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without wire harness connected (Front Seat Cushion Spring Assembly RH(Lifter Motor RH))

         Apply battery voltage to the lifter motor RH connector, and check that the lifter motor RH operates smoothly as follows.

         OK
         Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Upward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Downward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat cushion spring assembly RH.

4. INSPECT FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY RH (for RHD)

   
   

   1. Check the operation of the lumbar support motor RH.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without wire harness connected (Front Seatback Spring Assembly RH(Lumbar Support Motor RH))

         Apply battery voltage to the lumbar support motor RH connector, and check that the lumbar support motor RH operates smoothly as follows.

         OK
         Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Forward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Backward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seatback spring assembly RH.

   2. Check the operation of the reclining motor RH.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without wire harness connected (Front Seatback Spring Assembly RH(Reclining Motor RH))

         Apply battery voltage to the reclining motor RH connector, and check that the reclining motor RH operates smoothly as follows.

         OK
         Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Forward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Backward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the front seatback spring assembly RH.
