  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Place the front seat assembly LH in the cabin.

      Note


      • Before placing the seat in the vehicle, operate the seat track adjusting handle to slide the seat track to the center position.


      • Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

      *B for Front Passenger Side
      *C w/ Seat Heater System
      *D w/ Front Seat Side Airbag
      *E w/ Seat Cushion Airbag

      Attach the clamp to connect the connector of the front seat inner belt assembly LH.

    3. w/ Seat Heater System:

      Connect the connector of the seat heater.

    4. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:

      Connect the connector of the front seat airbag assembly LH.

    5. for Front Passenger Side, w/ Seat Cushion Airbag:

      Connect the connector of the front seat airbag sub-assembly RH.

    6. Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.

    7. Operate the seat track adjusting handle to move the seat to the rearmost position.

      Tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    9. Operate the seat track adjusting handle to move the seat to the foremost position.

    10. A01V9UC

      Tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    11. During sliding operation of the front seat, check that the left and right adjusters move together smoothly and lock simultaneously. If the seat adjusters do not lock simultaneously, loosen the seat mounting bolts to adjust the adjuster position.

  2. INSTALL REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

      Attach the 2 claws to install the rear outer seat track bracket cover LH as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.

  3. INSTALL REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

      Attach the 2 claws to install the rear inner seat track bracket cover LH as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.

  4. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH


    1. Operate the seat track adjusting handle to move the seat to the rearmost position.

      Attach the 2 claws to install the front outer seat track bracket cover LH as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.

  5. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

      Attach the 2 claws to install the front inner seat track bracket cover LH as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the front seat headrest assembly.

  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
