    • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.

    • Make a note of the current settings before customizing.

    Tech Tips

    The following PCS functions and pre-crash safety system sensitivity setting can be changed from their default setting.

    CUSTOMIZE PRE-CRASH SAFETY SYSTEM


    1. Customizing with the GTS


      1. Turn the ignition switch off.

      2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      4. Turn the GTS on.

      5. Enter the following menus: Customize Setting / Others.

      6. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

      Pre-crash safety system

      PCS operation retention setting Function to maintain the pre-crash safety system on/off setting when the ignition switch is turned off and then to ON.

      OFF: Not maintained (Pre-crash safety system always turns on)

      ON: Maintained
      PCS Alarm Activation Distance Retention Setting 1 Function to maintain the sensitivity setting of the pre-crash safety system when the pre-crash safety system is turned off and then on.

      OFF: Not maintained (Setting changes to "Mid")

      ON: Maintained
      PCS Alarm Activation Distance Retention Setting 2 Function to maintain the sensitivity setting of the pre-crash safety system when the ignition switch is turned off while the pre-crash safety system is on.

      OFF: Not maintained (Setting changes to "Mid")

      ON: Maintained
      PCS Alarm Activation Distance Retention Setting 3 Function to maintain the sensitivity setting of the pre-crash safety system when the ignition switch is turned off while the pre-crash safety system is off.
