DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor RH detects a +B short in the outer rear view mirror indicator RH.

    Both of the following conditions are met:

  • Blind spot monitor main switch (steering pad switch assembly) is on.

  • The blind spot monitor sensor is not sending voltage to the indicator but the indicator receives voltage above a specified level for a specified period of time.


  • Outer rear view mirror sub-assembly RH (outer rear view mirror indicator RH)

  • Outer rear view mirror assembly RH

  • Blind spot monitor sensor RH

  • Harness or connector

Note

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor system is on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Clear DTCs
    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR INDICATOR RH CIRCUIT)


    1. Disconnect the T1 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the I8*1 or I15*2 outer rear view mirror sub-assembly RH connector.


      • *1: w/o Panoramic View Monitor System

      • *2: w/ Panoramic View Monitor System

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Remove the outer rear view mirror sub-assembly RH.

  4. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.
