PARKING ASSIST MONITOR SYSTEM(for Camera built-in ECU), Diagnostic DTC:C1611

DTC Code DTC Name
C1611 ECU Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored if the television camera assembly judges that there is an internal malfunction as a result of its self check.

Tech Tips

The television camera assembly stores different types of information during initialization. If the television camera assembly cannot read the stored information when it is activated, the television camera assembly judges that there is an internal malfunction and stores this DTC.

PROCEDURE

  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY STATUS)

    1. Use the Data List to check if the television camera assembly status is functioning properly.

Chassis > IPA/Parking Assist Monitor > Data List
Tester Display Measurement Item Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
EEPROM Status (Initial read) Television camera assembly information OK or NG

OK: Television camera assembly is normal

NG: Television camera assembly is abnormal

      -
ASIC Output Status Output condition of camera display signal OK or NG

OK: Output condition of camera display signal is normal

NG: Output condition of camera display signal is abnormal

If "NG" is displayed, there is a malfunction in the television camera assembly.

Chassis > IPA/Parking Assist Monitor > Data List

  2. SETTINGS (TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY INITIALIZATION)

    Tech Tips

    • The television camera assembly stores different types of information during initialization. If the television camera assembly cannot read the stored information when it is activated, the television camera assembly judges that there is an internal malfunction and stores this DTC.

    • If the television camera assembly cannot read the stored information when it is activated, allowing the ECU to store the information again may return the system to normal.

    1. Use the transition of diagnosis screens (note which transition pattern occurs) to confirm if the television camera assembly was able to properly store the information from initialization.

      Tech Tips

The procedure to make the television camera assembly store the vehicle information differs when the television camera assembly has stored the information (initialized) and when the information has not been stored (not initialized).

    2. Perform the following procedure depending on the memory conditions to register the vehicle information into the television camera assembly.

      Condition Procedure
      Not initialized

  3. CHECK FOR DTC

    1. Clear the DTCs.

Chassis > IPA/Parking Assist Monitor > Clear DTCs
    2. Check for DTCs.

Chassis > IPA/Parking Assist Monitor > Trouble Codes

      Proceed to
      No DTC is output
      DTC C1611 is output

      Tech Tips

      • If DTC C1611 is output, perform the procedure to allow the television camera assembly to store the vehicle information again.

      • If DTC C1611 is still output after performing the procedure to make the television camera assembly store the vehicle information 3 times, replace the television camera assembly.

      • If DTC C1611 is output frequently, replace the television camera assembly even though the DTC is not output when rechecking for DTCs.
