AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM(for Radio and Display Type), Diagnostic DTC:B157D

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a malfunction occurs in the digital audio broadcasting antenna cable which is connected to the radio and display receiver assembly.

WIRING DIAGRAM

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC

   
   

   1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here

      
      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs

   2. Check for DTCs.

      Click here

      
      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

      Result
      Proceed to OK NG

2. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS

   
   

   1. Check if any optional components that may decrease reception capacity, such as a telephone antenna, are installed.

      OK
      Optional components are not installed.

      Note

      Do not remove optional components without permission of the customer.

      Proceed to OK NG

3. CHECK WINDSHIELD GLASS (DAB ANTENNA)

   
   

   1. Check the windshield glass (DAB antenna).

   REPLACE WINDSHIELD GLASS (DAB ANTENNA) Click here

4. CHECK NO. 4 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Front view of wire harness connector (to Windshield Glass [DAB Antenna])
      *b	Front view of wire harness connector (to No. 2 Antenna Cord Sub-assembly)

      Disconnect the antenna connector from the windshield glass (DAB antenna).

   2. Disconnect the antenna connector from the No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 1 Always Below 1 Ω 1-a - 1-a Always Below 1 Ω 1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher 1-a - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result
      Proceed to OK NG

   REPLACE NO. 4 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY Click here

5. CHECK NO. 2 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Front view of wire harness connector (to No. 4 Antenna Cord Sub-assembly)
      *b	Front view of wire harness connector (to Antenna Cord Sub-assembly)

      Disconnect the antenna connector from the No. 4 antenna cord sub-assembly.

   2. Disconnect the antenna connector from the antenna cord sub-assembly.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 1 Always Below 1 Ω 1-a - 1-a Always Below 1 Ω 1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher 1-a - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

6. CHECK ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *b	Front view of wire harness connector (to Radio and Display Receiver Assembly)

      Disconnect the antenna connector from the No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly.

   2. Disconnect the antenna connector from the radio and display receiver assembly.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 1 Always Below 1 Ω 1-a - 1-a Always Below 1 Ω 1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher 1-a - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result
      Proceed to OK NG

   REPLACE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY Click here

7. CHECK DIGITAL AUDIO BROADCASTING ANTENNA ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Replace the digital audio broadcasting antenna assembly with a known good one.

      Click here

   2. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here

      
      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs

   3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

      Result
      Proceed to OK NG

8. CHECK WINDSHIELD GLASS (DAB ANTENNA)
