PARKING BRAKE CABLE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE

   

   
   

   1. Connect the cables to the backing plates and parking brake shoe levers.

      
      

      1. Pass the cables through the backing plates, and then connect the cables to the levers.

         Click here

      2. Install the cables to the backing plates with the bolts.

         Torque:

         8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

   2. Install the clamps to the trailing arms with the 2 bolts (labeled F).

      Torque:

      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Securely install the clamps.

   3. Install the clamps to the rear suspension crossmember with the 2 bolts (labeled E).

      Torque:

      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Securely install the clamps.

   4. Install the clamps to the crossmember with the 2 bolts (labeled D).

      Torque:

      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Securely install the clamps.

   5. Install the clamps to the vehicle body with the 2 bolts (labeled C).

      Torque:

      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Securely install the clamps.

   6. Install the casing caps to the vehicle body with the 2 casing cap bolts (labeled B).

      Torque:

      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Securely install the casing caps.

   7. Install the cable clamp (labeled A) to the parking brake cable and vehicle body.

      Note

      Securely install the clamp.

2. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE EQUALIZER

   
   

   1. 

      Connect the 3 cable ends to the equalizer to install the equalizer.

3. CHECK PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL

4. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL

   Click here

5. INSTALL NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET

   Click here

6. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY

   Click here

7. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

   Torque:

   103 N*m  { 1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }
