NAVIGATION SYSTEM(for HDD) Parking Brake Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit is from the parking brake switch assembly to the navigation ECU sub-assembly.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK BRAKE WARNING LIGHT

   
   

   1. Check that the brake warning light comes on when the parking brake is applied and goes off when it is released.

      OK
      The brake warning light operates as specified above.

      Result
      Proceed to The brake warning light operates as specified above The brake warning light does not operates as specified above

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY - PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

   
   

   1. Disconnect the G49 navigation ECU sub-assembly connector.

   2. Disconnect the G37 parking brake switch assembly connector.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition G49-6 (PKB) - G37-1 Always Below 1 Ω G49-6 (PKB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result
      Proceed to OK NG

   
   

   OK
