REAR TRAILING ARM INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR TRAILING ARM ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Temporarily install the rear trailing arm to the rear suspension arm bracket with the bolt and nut.

    2. Install the rear trailing arm to the vehicle with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      80 N*m  { 816 kgf*cm, 59 ft.*lbf }

    3. Install the rear trailing arm to the rear axle carrier with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      200 N*m  { 2039 kgf*cm, 148 ft.*lbf }

  2. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH

  3. CONNECT NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the No. 3 parking brake cable to the rear trailing arm with the bolt.

      Torque:
      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

  4. STABILIZE SUSPENSION

  5. TIGHTEN REAR TRAILING ARM ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Tighten the nut.

      Torque:
      150 N*m  { 1530 kgf*cm, 111 ft.*lbf }

  6. TIGHTEN REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH

  7. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

    Torque:
    103 N*m  { 1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }

  8. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT
