REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT


    1. A01GCQ2

      Install the rear differential support to the differential carrier sub-assembly with a new 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      98 N*m  { 999 kgf*cm, 72 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 AND NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT


    1. A01GB33

      Install the rear No. 1 and No. 2 differential supports with a new 4 bolts to the differential carrier sub-assembly.

      Torque:
      55 N*m  { 561 kgf*cm, 41 ft.*lbf }

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  5. INSTALL DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Support the rear differential carrier with a transmission jack or equivalent.

    2. A01GB6JE01

      Slowly raise the transmission jack, and install the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      for bolt A
      88.8 N*m  { 906 kgf*cm, 65 ft.*lbf }
      for bolt B
      106 N*m  { 1080 kgf*cm, 78 ft.*lbf }

      Note


      • Tighten the bolts, not the nuts.

      • Install a new bolt (labeled B).

    3. Install the breather tube.

    4. Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the bolt.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    5. Connect the connector.

    6. Connect the 2 harness clamps.

  6. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE LH


    1. Install the member brace with the 2 bolts to the suspension member.

      Torque:
      35 N*m  { 357 kgf*cm, 26 ft.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  8. INSTALL PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY
