  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output.

      for LHD: Click here

      for RHD: Click here

      Result
      Proceed to
      CAN communication system DTC is not output
      CAN communication system DTC is output (for LHD)
      CAN communication system DTC is output (for RHD)

      Tech Tips

      When DTCs indicating a CAN communication system malfunction are output, repair the CAN communication system before repairing each corresponding sensor.

  2. INSPECT 4WD/AWD WARNING LIGHT


    1. Disconnect the G86 4WD ECU assembly connector.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. for Segment Display Type:

      Check that the 4WD warning light comes on.

      OK
      4WD warning light comes on.

    4. for Dot Display Type:

      Check that the AWD warning message is displayed.

      OK
      The AWD warning message is displayed.
