DYNAMIC TORQUE CONTROL 4WD/AWD SYSTEM CALIBRATION

  1. DESCRIPTION


    1. w/o VSC:

      When the 4WD ECU assembly is replaced with a normal one from another vehicle or the deceleration sensor is replaced, perform calibration.

      w/ VSC:

      When the 4WD ECU assembly is replaced with a normal one from another vehicle or the acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) is replaced, perform calibration.

    2. Follow the chart to perform calibration.

      When using GTS:

      Clear zero point calibration data

      When using SST check wire:

      Clear zero point calibration data (w/o VSC)

      Perform vehicle stability control system calibration (w/ VSC)

      When using GTS:

      Tech Tips

      When the 4WD ECU assembly is replaced with a new one, calibration is unnecessary.

  2. PERFORM CALIBRATION (When Using GTS)


    1. Clear the zero point calibration data.


      1. Turn the ignition switch off.

      2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      4. Turn the GTS on.

      5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Four Wheel Drive / Utility / Reset Memory.


        Chassis > Four Wheel Drive > Utility
        Tester Display
        Reset Memory

      6. Operate the GTS to clear the data.

  3. PERFORM CALIBRATION (When Using SST Check Wire)


    1. w/o VSC:

      Clear the zero point calibration data.


      1. Turn the ignition switch off.

      2. for manual transaxle:

        Check that the shift lever is in neutral and apply the parking brake.

        except manual transaxle:

        Check that the shift lever is in P and apply the parking brake.

      3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      4. The warning light and indicator light come on for 4 seconds to indicate that the initial check is completed.

        Using SST, connect and disconnect terminals 12 (TS) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3 4 times or more within 8 seconds.

      6. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. w/ VSC:

      Calibrate the 4WD ECU assembly by performing vehicle stability control system calibration.
