Note
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE BATTERY
REMOVE BATTERY TRAY
DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE FRONT BATTERY BRACKET
REMOVE BATTERY BRACKET REINFORCEMENT
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER HOSE ASSEMBLY

Slide the 4 clips and disconnect the 2 oil cooler inlet hoses and 2 oil cooler outlet hoses from the transaxle and oil cooler.
Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 transmission oil cooler hoses from the oil cooler tube.

Slide the 4 clips and disconnect the 2 oil cooler inlet hoses and 2 oil cooler outlet hoses from the oil cooler inlet tube and oil cooler outlet tube.
Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the oil cooler inlet tube and oil cooler outlet tube from the transmission oil cooler hose assembly.
REMOVE OIL COOLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Slide the 4 clips and disconnect the No. 3 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 3 oil cooler outlet hose from the radiator and oil cooler tube.
Remove the 2 bolts and oil cooler tube aqssembly from the radiator assembly.
REMOVE OIL COOLER
Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses from the oil cooler.
Remove the 3 bolts and oil cooler from the continuously variable transaxle assembly.
