OIL PAN REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  2. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

    Click here

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 TRANSMISSION OIL FILLER TUBE


    1. A01QUCQ

      Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the overflow plug and gasket from the continuously variable transaxle assembly.

    2. A01QRXQC07
      *1 No. 1 Transmission Oil Filler Tube

      Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube from the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly and drain the continuously variable transaxle fluid.

  4. REMOVE TRANSAXLE OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01QQML

      Remove the 19 bolts and transaxle oil pan sub-assembly from the continuously variable transaxle assembly.

      Note

      Some fluid will remain in the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly. To prevent the fluid from spilling, place a container under the oil pan, and then carefully remove all the pan bolts and transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the gasket from the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.

    3. Remove the 3 magnets from the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.

      Note


      • Clean the oil pan and remove any metal particles, sludge, etc.

      • Clean off any metal particles that adhere to the magnets.
