DIFFERENTIAL OIL SEAL REPLACEMENT

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY

    Click here

  3. REMOVE DRIVE SHAFT BEARING BRACKET

    Click here

  4. REMOVE TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL

      Using SST, remove the front transaxle case oil seal.

  5. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CASE OIL SEAL


    1. A01V7OGE01

      Using SST, remove the transmission case oil seal.

  6. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CASE OIL SEAL


    1. Coat the lip of a new transmission oil seal with MP grease.

    2. A01V7QFC01
      *a -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0196 in.)

      Using SST and a hammer, tap in the transmission case oil seal to the manual transmission case.

      Standard depth
      -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0196 in.)

      Note

      Do not damage the transmission oil seal lip.

  7. INSTALL TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL


    1. Coat the lip of a new front transaxle case oil seal with MP grease.

    2. A01V880C01
      *a -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0196 in.)

      Using SST and a hammer, tap in the front transaxle case oil seal to the front transaxle case.

      Standard depth
      -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0196 in.)

      Note

      Do not damage the front transaxle case oil seal lip.
