SHIFT AND SELECT LEVER SHAFT DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE INNER NO. 2 SHIFT LEVER


    1. Secure the shift and select lever shaft assembly in a vise between aluminum plates.

      Using a 5 mm pin punch and hammer, tap out the slotted spring pin and remove the inner No. 2 shift lever from the shift and select lever shaft.

      Tech Tips

      Make a note of the orientation of the inner No. 2 shift lever so that it can be reinstalled in the same position.

  2. REMOVE FRONT INNER SHIFT LEVER

      Using a 5 mm pin punch and hammer, tap out the slotted spring pin from the shift and select lever shaft and remove the front inner shift lever.

  3. REMOVE RELEASE HEAD

      Using a 5 mm pin punch and hammer, tap out the slotted spring pin from the shift and select lever shaft and remove the release head.
