DIFFERENTIAL OIL SEAL(for RH Side) REPLACEMENT

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE TRANSFER ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE DRIVE SHAFT BEARING BRACKET

    Click here

  3. REMOVE TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL

      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, pry out the transaxle case oil seal.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  4. REMOVE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL CASE OIL SEAL


    1. A01KDMEE02

      Using SST, remove the front differential case oil seal.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the differential case.

  5. INSTALL FRONT DIFFERENTIAL CASE OIL SEAL


    1. Coat the lip of a new front differential case oil seal with MP grease.

    2. A01KBC9C01
      *a 21.5 to 22.5 mm (0.847 to 0.885 in.)

      Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new front differential case oil seal to the transaxle case.

      Standard depth
      21.5 to 22.5 mm (0.847 to 0.885 in.)
      SST
      09950-60010   ( 09951-00410, 09951-07200 )

      Note

      Do not damage the front differential case oil seal lip.

  6. INSTALL TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL


    1. Coat the lip of a new transaxle case oil seal with MP grease.

    2. A01KB46C02
      *a 5.5 to 6.5 mm (0.217 to 0.255 in.)

      Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new transaxle case oil seal to the transaxle case.

      Standard depth
      5.5 to 6.5 mm (0.217 to 0.255 in.)

      Note

      Do not damage the transaxle case oil seal lip.
