DIFFERENTIAL OIL SEAL REPLACEMENT

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE DRIVE SHAFT BEARING BRACKET

    Click here

  3. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CASE OIL SEAL

    A01KAOZE10

    1. Using SST, tap out the transmission case oil seal.

      SST

  4. REMOVE TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL

    A01KDPLE08

    1. Using SST, tap out the transaxle case oil seal.

      SST

  5. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CASE OIL SEAL

    A01KBTEC02
    *a -0.5 mm to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0196 in.)

    1. Coat the lip of a new transmission case oil seal with MP grease.

    2. Using SST and a hammer, tap in the transmission case oil seal.

      09608-32010   ( 09951-07200 )
      Standard depth
      -0.5 mm to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0196 in.)

      Note

      Do not damage the lip of the transmission case oil seal.

  6. INSTALL TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL

    A01KB0KC01
    *a -0.5 mm to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0196 in.)

    1. Coat the lip of a new transaxle case oil seal with MP grease.

    2. Using SST and a hammer, tap in the transaxle case oil seal.

      09710-30050   ( 09951-07200 )
      Standard depth
      -0.5 mm to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0196 in.)

      Note

      Do not damage the lip of the transaxle case oil seal.
