CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER(for 2WW) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  6. REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  7. REMOVE BATTERY INSULATOR

  8. REMOVE BATTERY

  9. INSTALL BATTERY TRAY

  10. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER ASSEMBLY

  11. REMOVE BATTERY BRACKET REINFORCEMENT

  12. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY

  13. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  14. DISCONNECT COMPRESSOR OUTLET ELBOW

  15. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE

    Click here

  16. REMOVE NO. 4 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    Click here

  17. DISCONNECT NO. 2 AIR HOSE

    Click here

  18. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR TUBE ASSEMBLY

  19. DISCONNECT CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER TO FLEXIBLE HOSE TUBE

      Using a 10 mm union nut wrench, disconnect the clutch release cylinder to flexible hose tube.

      Tech Tips

      Use a container to catch the fluid.

  20. REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts, clutch release cylinder assembly from the manual transaxle assembly.
