CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER(for RHD) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE INJECTOR DRIVER

  2. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  3. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

    Note

    Wash brake fluid off immediately if it adheres to any painted surface.

  4. DISCONNECT CLUTCH RESERVOIR TUBE

    1. Slide the clamp and disconnect the clutch reservoir tube from the clutch master cylinder assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Use a container to catch the fluid.

  5. DISCONNECT CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER TO FLEXIBLE HOSE TUBE

    1. Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the clutch master cylinder to flexible hose tube.

      Use a container to catch the fluid.

  6. REMOVE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 nuts and clutch master cylinder assembly.

      Push the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis upward and it toward the left side of the vehicle.

  7. REMOVE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER BRACKET

    1. Remove the clutch master cylinder bracket from the clutch master cylinder assembly.

  8. REMOVE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

      *1 Lock Nut
      *2 Clutch Master Cylinder Push Rod Clevis

      Measure dimension A as shown in the illustration before loosening the lock nut.

      Loosen the lock nut and remove the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis.

    3. Remove the lock nut.
