FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA SYSTEM UTILITY

Note


  • If the forward recognition camera has been replaced or removed/installed, perform Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory and Recognition Camera Axis Adjust. If not performed, DTC C1AA9 will be stored when the system is turned on.

  • When replacing the windshield glass of a vehicle equipped with a forward recognition camera, make sure to use a Toyota genuine part. If a non-Toyota genuine part is used, the forward recognition camera may not be able to be installed due to a missing bracket or the forward recognition camera system may not operate properly due to a difference in the transmissivity or black ceramic border.


  1. Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory


    1. Perform Recognition Camera Axis Adjust according to the display on the GTS.

      Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory is used to enter required information into the forward recognition camera.

    1. Perform Recognition Camera Axis Adjust according to the display on the GTS.

      Tech Tips

      Recognition Camera Axis Adjust is used to calibrate the internal data of the forward recognition camera to enhance its recognition accuracy.

  3. Tech Tips

    History Clear is used to clear the history of Data List items Blockage, Low Temperature, or High Temperature.

    History Clear


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Front Recognition Camera / Utility / History Clear.

    5. Perform History Clear according to the display on the GTS.

  4. Tech Tips

    PCS Image Information Clear is used to clear the PCS Image Information data.

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Front Recognition Camera / Utility / PCS Image Information Clear.

    5. Perform PCS Image Information Clear according to the display on the GTS.

  5. Tech Tips

    PCS Image Record Setting is used to activate/deactivate the PCS image recording function.

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Front Recognition Camera / Utility / PCS Image Record Setting.

    5. Perform PCS Image Record Setting according to the display on the GTS.
