ENGINE OIL COOLER(w/ Oil Cooler) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY


    1. Clean the oil cooler assembly contact surface on the cooler mounting.

    2. Apply a light coat of engine oil to 3 new gaskets.

    3. Install the 3 new gaskets to the oil cooler assembly.

    4. Temporarily install the oil cooler assembly with the union bolt, the nut and a new seal washer.

      *1 Seal Washer
      *2 Union Bolt
      *3 Nut

      Tighten the bolt and nut in several steps in the sequence shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      for union bolt
      60 N*m  { 612 kgf*cm, 44 ft.*lbf }
      for nut
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD CONVERTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL

  6. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK
