PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FAN SHROUD


    1. Install the fan shroud with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      11 N*m  { 112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY


    1. Attach the 2 guides to install the condenser assembly.

      Click here

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 FAN SHROUD


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 2 fan shroud.

    2. Install the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      11 N*m  { 112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT


    1. Install the 2 lower radiator supports to the fan shroud.

  5. INSTALL WATER BY-PASS PIPE


    1. Install the water by-pass pipe to the radiator, and slide the hose clamp to secure it.

    2. Attach the 2 clamps to install the water by-pass pipe.

  6. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. Install the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly, and slide the hose clamp to secure it.

      Tech Tips

      Install the hose clamp with the claw facing downward.

  7. INSTALL RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the radiator hose sub-assembly to the radiator assembly and water by-pass pipe, and slide the 2 hose clamps to secure it.

  8. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the radiator assembly together with the fan shroud.

      Note

      Make sure that both lower radiator supports are attached to the fan shroud.

  9. CONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 2 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly, and slide the hose clamp to secure it.

  10. CONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 1 water by-pass hose to the water by-pass pipe, and slide the hose clamp to secure it.

  11. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

  12. CONNECT RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the radiator hose sub-assembly to the cylinder head sub-assembly, and slide the hose clamp to secure it.

  13. INSTALL RADIATOR HOSE HOSE CLAMP


    1. for Manual Transaxle:


      1. Install the radiator hose hose clamp.

    2. for Automatic Transaxle:


      1. Install the 2 radiator hose hose clamps.

      2. Connect the No. 8 and No. 9 water by-pass hose to each radiator hose hose clamp.

  14. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT


    1. Install the upper radiator support with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

  15. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR SUPPORT


    1. Install the 2 No. 1 radiator supports with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      19 N*m  { 194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }

  16. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS


    1. Connect the 2 cooling fan motor connectors.

    2. Attach the 9 wire harness clamps to connect the wire harness.

  17. CONNECT LIQUID PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  18. CONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  19. INSTALL RADIATOR UPPER AIR GUIDE PLATE


    1. Install the radiator upper air guide plate with the 6 clips.

  20. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER UPPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the front bumper upper reinforcement sub-assembly with the 3 bolts.

    2. Connect the horn connector.

  21. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Attach the clamp to connect the hood lock control cable assembly.

  22. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


  23. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER (w/ Cover)

  24. INSTALL BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  25. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  26. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

  27. CHARGE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT

  28. WARM UP ENGINE

    Click here

  29. INSPECT REFRIGERANT LEAK

  30. INSTALL RADIATOR LOWER AIR GUIDE PLATE


    1. Attach the 2 claws and install the radiator lower air guide plate.

  31. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BUMPER ABSORBER


    1. Install the front lower bumper absorber with 4 screws.

  32. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
