INTAKE MANIFOLD INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ENGINE COVER JOINT


    1. Install the engine cover joint.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
  2. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD


    1. with Stud Bolt:

      Using an E6 "TORX" socket wrench, install the 2 stud bolts to the intake manifold.

      Torque:
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }
    2. Install the wire harness clamp bracket to the intake manifold with the bolt.

      Torque:
      15 N*m  { 153 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }
    3. Install a new gasket to the intake manifold.

    4. Temporarily install the intake manifold stay and intake manifold with the 5 bolts and 2 nuts.

    5. After temporarily installing the 5 bolts and 2 nuts, tighten them to the specified torque in several steps.

      Torque:
      28 N*m  { 286 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf }
    6. Connect the fuel vapor feed hose and No. 3 air hose to the intake manifold.

    7. Connect the PCV hose and No. 1 vacuum transmitting hose to the intake manifold, and 2 slide the clamps to secure it.

    8. Attach the 4 wire harness clamps.

  3. INSTALL VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE (for ACIS)


    1. Install the vacuum switching valve with the bolt.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }
    2. Connect the vacuum hose and No. 2 air hose.

    3. Connect the vacuum switching valve connector.

    4. Attach the wire harness clamp.

    5. Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the engine cover joint.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
