FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

  2. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY

      Using SST, hold the crankshaft pulley and loosen the pulley bolt until 2 or 3 threads are screwed into the crankshaft.

      Using SST and the pulley bolt, remove the crankshaft pulley and pulley bolt.

  3. REMOVE FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL


    1. A00YTA2C01
      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, pry out the front crankshaft oil seal.

      Note


      • Do not damage the surface of the front crankshaft oil seal press fit hole or the crankshaft.

      • After removing the front crankshaft oil seal, check the crankshaft for damage. If damaged, smooth the surface with 400-grit sandpaper.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
