ACCELERATOR PEDAL ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Accel Sens. No.1 Volt % and Accel Sens. No.2 Volt %.

      
      Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Data List

      Tester Display
      Accel Sens. No.1 Volt %
      Accel Sens. No.2 Volt %

   5. Read the values displayed on the GTS.

      Standard Percentage
      Tester Display Condition Specified Condition Accel Sens. No.1 Volt % Accelerator pedal released 10 to 22% Accelerator pedal fully depressed 52 to 90% Accel Sens. No.2 Volt % Accelerator pedal released 24 to 40% Accelerator pedal fully depressed 68 to 99%

      If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal sensor assembly, wire harness and ECM.
