Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the throttle with motor body assembly.


PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY


    1. Install a new gasket to the intake manifold.

    2. Install the throttle with motor body assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

      Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the throttle with motor body assembly.


    3. Connect the throttle with motor body assembly connector.

      *1 Clamp

      Connect the fuel hose bracket with the bolt.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      If the fuel hose is detached from the clamp shown in the illustration, the clamp cannot be reused.

    5. Connect the No. 2 water by-pass hose to the throttle with motor body assembly, and slide the clamp to secure it.

    6. Connect the No. 1 water by-pass hose to the throttle with motor body assembly, and slide the clamp to secure it.

  2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

  4. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Align the 3 No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly grommets with the 3 pins, and press down on the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly to install it.

  6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

    Note


    • Be sure to perform this procedure after reassembling the throttle body assembly or removing and reinstalling any throttle body component.

    • Perform the following procedure after replacing the ECM, throttle body assembly or any throttle body components. The following procedure should also be performed if the throttle body is cleaned.

    • Be sure to perform this procedure after reconnecting the battery cable or replacing the ECM.


    1. Disconnect the EFI NO. 1 and ETCS fuses at the same time. Wait at least 60 seconds and reconnect the fuses.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON without operating the accelerator pedal.

      Note

      If the accelerator pedal is operated, perform the above steps again.

    3. Connect the GTS to the DLC3 and clear the DTCs.


    4. Start the engine and check that the MIL is not illuminated. After the engine is warmed up, check that the idle speed is within the specified range when the A/C is switched off.

      Standard
      Condition Engine Idle Speed
      A/C switched off 720 to 820 rpm

      Note


      • Be sure to perform this step with all accessories off.

      • Make sure that the shift lever is in N or P.

    5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ETC / Data List / Throttle Sensor Position. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and check that the value is 60% or more.

    6. Perform a road test and confirm that there are no abnormalities.
