DIESEL THROTTLE BODY INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT DIESEL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY


    1. Check that the there is no sludge accumulating around the diesel throttle body assembly.

      Note

      When cleaning the diesel throttle body assembly, use a piece of cloth soaked with cleaning solvent. Spraying the solvent directly onto this part or soaking the part in solvent may damage it.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 (M-) - 2 (M+) 20°C (68°F) 0.3 to 100 Ω

      Note

      Be sure to move the throttle valve when measuring the resistance.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the diesel throttle body assembly.
